Core Processes

Our other products

Pre-2020 we used to think we lived and operated in a VUCA world. Turns out that when it came to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, we were beginners!

Since the pandemic, with the accelerated levels of change coming at us many times a day, the responsibility for making change successful can longer rest only on the shoulders of people within the organisation with “change manager” in their title.  They need help. One way to give them that support is by empowering a larger part of the organisation to understand the basics of change and how to navigate it.  We call these people change champions (for now). They comprise of a selection of the “early adopters”, empowered with an understanding of change and how to navigate the process.

Practically, organisations cannot afford the time and investment to train large quantities of people in change. This workshop and skill-set, is our proposed solution to quickly and affordably empower a large number of people to show up with the qualities of resilience, courage as well as the skills to support change.

What is a change champion?

Change champions can be anyone. We see them as influential and respected leaders where they work. They do not have to be a part of the management teams or hold a specific job title (but they could). The key requirements for a change champion are seeing what is possible and positively influence colleagues and management as they make their transition to changed roles and processes themselves.

Why do we need champions?

The Change Champion is one of the most critical components of the change process. They are the mascot of your change initiative and rally support behind the change to remove roadblocks to achieving ROI. Change Champions are crucial for the growth of a company as they are part of normal teams across an organisation themselves, they can influence their colleagues in a way no external entity can. They can provide their colleagues with high-quality support and have a long-lasting impact on them.

Why this workshop?

This workshop is a solution to quickly and affordably empower a large number of people to show up with resiliencecourage and skills to support change. During this session you will experience:

  • Contextualising change
  • Types and zones of change
  • Understanding the change curve
  • Change readiness formula
  • My own ‘default’ reaction to change and how others might react
  • Types and causes of resistance
  • Working with and reframing resistance (including role-play)
  • Change adoption cycle

What if we CAN change the way we view and experience conflict?
When we avoid difficult conversations we trade short term discomfort for long term dysfunction.

Conflict is an inevitable part of the workplace. Dealing with conflict is a task many managers struggle with or even avoid. But it is possible to transform disagreement and discord into positive outcomes. Albert Einstein said that in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. Conflict may be avoidable and preventable but it may also be necessary.

Conflicts never end. They keep recurring and are intermittent in any setting; be it in the organisational or in the family or with friends, neighbours and other associates. However perpetual the conflicts are, they do require resolutions. Conflict handling is not less than an art. It requires a good skill and understanding. Conflict is a normal, healthy part of every relationship.  If there were no conflict, it would mean that there were  no differences of opinion;  no independent thinking.

Creative Conflict is about  being able to identify the opportunities that conflict can provide and how the outcome may be turned into opportunities for a stronger relationship going forward.

Creative Conflict will:

  • Challenge you to think out of the box.
  • Help you build trust, improve your communication skills and create the right environment for healthy conflict.
  • All of which leads to constructive styles of collaboration and fully engaged employees.

Outcomes of this one day workshop:

  • Understanding how communication can turn into conflict.
  • Why do certain people “push your buttons”.
  • How to prepare for conversations.
  • Tools to handle conflict and build tolerance.

Why this workshop?

Five phases of leading change, is a  workshop designed by Dr Louise van Rhyn that will offer the keys to leading change. Change leaders define new expectations, behaviors, and the commitment needed from people. When leading others through transitions, leaders set a new direction and share a compelling vision of the future so people can see the possibilities and what success looks like.

“Any change is difficult at the beginning, complicated in the middle and beautiful at the end.” – Robin Sharma

Change leaders are committed to successful implementation and buy-in from their stakeholders. This is usually easier said than done.
Change in organisations has become a permanent reality: it is estimated that today employees undergo an average of 3 changes simultaneously. Despite this considerable number of changes, according to research by McKinsey & Company, 70% of them still fail.
Dr Louise van Rhyn is a leadership development practitioner and change consultant. She has been supporting change leaders for 30+ years and has been involved in many large-scale change initiatives. She holds a Doctorate in Complex Social change and has founded several entrepreneurial organisations.

How to create the enabling environment for high performance.

Google has identified psychological safety as ‘the magic sauce’ for high performance teams. It is crucial to a team’s success. Whether you’re in an entry-level position or managing a team, there are things you can do to help have a positive impact and shift the culture in your workplace.

Psychological safety describes a workplace where one feels that one’s voice is welcome with bad news, questions, concerns, half-baked ideas and even mistakes. People should feel like they can ask questions, raise concerns and pitch ideas without undue repercussions. It’s a concept that’s even more valuable now, with so many people adjusting to remote work and worrying about going back to work.

Why is psychological safety important?

Psychological safety is a condition in which human beings feel (1) included, (2) safe to learn, (3) safe to contribute, and (4) safe to challenge the status quo – all without fear of being embarrassed, marginalised, or punished in some way. The 4 stages of psychological safety is a universal pattern that reflects the natural progression of human needs in social settings. When teams, organisations, and social units of all kinds progress through the four stages, they create deeply inclusive environments, accelerate learning, increase contribution, and stimulate innovation.

This interactive workshop, designed by Greg Groenmeyer and Dr Louise van Rhyn, will provide guidance to leaders who want to create environments where their team members can make their best contribution for high performance.

Enabling leaders to co-create High Performing Teams.

The Ultimate Advantage: Leaders who co-create teams to consistently achieve exceptional levels of performance.

Leaders today must be able to form and lead teams that can achieve or exceed organisational objectives in a complex and rapidly changing business environment. This necessitates an understanding of what enables inspired team performance and be able to apply that knowledge to continuously fluctuating business conditions.

Although all teams want to be high-performing, only some of them reach this state. Have you ever thought about what makes the difference and how you can help a team to be at its best? High-performing teams do not form and perform on their own. They are steered by leaders who bring out the best in their people, utilising their skills and abilities to the fullest. These leaders validate and acknowledge growth and improvement with specific feedback to ensure that their people know they are valued and appreciated – and have a strategy in mind at all times.

Leading High Performing Teams helps develop the mind-set needed to inspire and sustain exceptional performance.

Why are High Performing Teams important for the success of your organisation?

  • Teams can do more than an individual can (eg. execute faster, make better decisions, do more to enhance creativity and build skills).
  • High-performing teams have increased productivity and above-average morale.

Who should attend?  Team leaders who want to shift their team to become a High Performing Team.
