Louise van Rhyn won the Feather Award in the category of Entrepreneurial Woman and has graciously accepted the award on behalf of all the remarkable women at Symphonia, at a gala event on the 26th of March 2009. The Feather Awards recognises ordinary women (across different categories) for the difference that they are making and their extraordinary contribution to their families, communities and country, despite the many pressures that they face.

Louise van Rhyn won the HR Leadership Award at the World HRD Congress in 2009. She was awarded the HR Leadership Award for her leadership and contribution to the field of HR. Micheal McDonald, Global Chairman of the HRD World Congress, described the position that Louise occupies in the fraternity as strategic and iconic. He also mentioned that Louise is a thinker, a doer and a role model and believer in change.
